Kumaraguru Institutions Celebrates 78th Independence Day with a Green Initiative at Chinnavedampatti Lake.

On the occasion of India’s 78th Independence Day, Kumaraguru Institutions, in collaboration with Kousika Neerkarangal and Arulagam, spearheaded a tree plantation drive at Chinnavedampatti Lake (North). This initiative brought together over 70 students from KCLAS – Environment and Sustainability Liberal Edge Course, fostering environmental awareness and active participation in sustainability efforts.

The event commenced with an orientation session covering water body conservation, ecological restoration, and biodiversity preservation, emphasizing the crucial role of green spaces in urban environments. Following this, students enthusiastically planted tree saplings, contributing to the restoration of the lake’s ecosystem and enhancing green cover.

By engaging students in hands-on environmental stewardship, the initiative aimed to instill sustainable practices and deepen their connection with nature. Through such impactful efforts, Kumaraguru Institutions reaffirmed its commitment to building a greener future while celebrating the spirit of independence.
