Terrestrial Brid Survey – Coimbatore Forest Division

The Terrestrial Bird Survey 2026 was conducted in collaboration with the Coimbatore Forest Division as part of the region’s annual biodiversity monitoring initiative. Over 10 birders and bird photographers from Kumaraguru Institutions, including participants from the Visual Communication Department, actively surveyed forest landscapes and reserved areas under the guidance of forest officials.
The survey focused on documenting migratory and native bird populations, contributing valuable observational data to long-term ecological records. Through systematic field observation, species identification, and photographic documentation, students gained hands-on experience in structured biodiversity assessment.
This annual initiative plays an important role in understanding avian population trends, habitat conditions, and seasonal movement patterns within the Coimbatore Forest Division.
