TREES OUTSIDE FOREST PROGRAM (TOFI)​

Overview: On September 8, 2024, over 30 participants joined the Trees Outside Forests India (TOFI) program, held with Young Indians (Yi). Led by Dr. Jayaprakash C.R. and Mr. Deepak Dayanandan, the session highlighted agroforestry, urban greening, and ecosystem restoration. Through interactive discussions, participants learned to promote tree-based solutions for sustainability and climate resilience in rural and urban areas.

Project Description

On 8th September 2024, 30+ enthusiastic participants joined us for the Trees Outside Forests India (TOFI) program, organized in collaboration with Young Indians (Yi). This initiative aimed to promote tree-based solutions beyond traditional forests, contributing to environmental sustainability and climate resilience.

The session was led by Dr. Jayaprakash C.R., Master Trainer – TOFI, and Mr. Deepak Dayanandan, State Associate – TOFI, who provided valuable insights into the significance of agroforestry, urban greening, and ecosystem restoration. Through interactive discussions and practical learning, participants explored ways to integrate tree planting and conservation efforts into rural and urban landscapes.
