Shanthi Ashram Children Explore Sustainability at Kumaraguru

Over 50 children from Shanthi Ashram visited Kumaraguru to explore the campus’s sustainability initiatives and biodiversity. Their journey began with an immersive walk through the Native Tree Nursery, where they learned about different tree species and their ecological significance. They then visited the Resource Recovery Park and Sewage Treatment Plant, gaining insights into waste management and water conservation.

The highlight of their visit was at the Automobile Department, where their excitement peaked as they explored cars, washing machines, solar panels, and a model airplane. The interactive experience sparked their curiosity, inspiring them to dream big and innovate.

This visit provided the children with a unique opportunity to witness real-world sustainability efforts and encouraged them to adopt eco-friendly practices. Their enthusiasm and eagerness to learn reaffirmed the importance of early exposure to environmental education and technology for a sustainable future.
