Overview: Kumaraguru College of Technology, with the Indo-German Centre for Sustainability, is researching growth management and climate adaptation in Tamil Nadu’s peri-urban areas, focusing on Coimbatore and Madurai. Project Description

Kumaraguru College of Technology, in partnership with the Indo-German Centre for Sustainability (IGCS), is conducting a research initiative to assess and develop strategies for growth management and climate change adaptation in Tamil Nadu’s peri-urban regions, particularly in Coimbatore and Madurai.

The study focuses on the Food-Water-Energy-Waste (FWEW) nexus, emphasizing the interconnections between critical systems in rapidly urbanizing areas. By analyzing these dynamics, the initiative aims to provide actionable insights for sustainable development, resilience building, and climate adaptation.
