On November 26, 2024, Kumaraguru Campus hosted the exclusive premiere of Nilgiris – A Shared Wilderness, a film by renowned filmmaker Sandesh Kadur. The screening attracted an audience of 430 participants, including school students, scientific outreach communities like Zoo Outreach and SACON, and an esteemed panel from the film’s crew—Rohan Mathias (Associate Producer), Parinith Gowda (Camera Person), Sourav Gowda (Field Assistant), and Nakul Raj (Cinematographer).

The event commenced with an insightful introduction to the film, highlighting its role in promoting wildlife conservation. The documentary took the audience on a mesmerizing journey through India’s first UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, showcasing its diverse wildlife, breathtaking landscapes, and the delicate balance of human coexistence with nature.
